The most ambitious museum in Vienna museum district is the Leopold Museum. The Leopold Museum houses the most important works of modern art that can only be found in the city of Vienna. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except Thursdays. On Thursdays it is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.The entrance fee for the museum is 13 euros.
Another museum, MUMOK (Museum of Modern Art), mainly houses works of art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Artists whose works are exhibited in this museum include Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, Pablo Picasso and Günter Brus. The MUMOK is open to visitors on Mondays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The entrance fee for this museum is 11 euros.
Another museum, the Kunsthalle Wien is a museum where you can discover modern art. In addition to exhibitions, events are also held in this museum. The opening hours of the museum are Thursdays from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and other days from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
